Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our puppy therapy sessions, safety protocols, and booking process. We've compiled everything you need to know for a smooth, enjoyable experience with our playful puppies!
What is Puppy Therapy?
Puppy therapy allows you to relax, cuddle, and play with puppies in a calm environment, helping relieve stress and anxiety. We provide the puppies—just bring yourself!
How Does It Benefit Humans & Puppies?
Interacting with puppies helps reduce stress and boost your mood. It also keeps the puppies socialised, playful, and loved—benefiting both you and them.
Can I Swap My Ticket for a Different Session With a Different Breed?
Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can do, as we can’t have people trying to swap tickets because they prefer the breed we have after the ones they have booked. Sorry, we don’t offer swaps or refunds if you can’t come or booked incorrectly.
What if I Bought a Ticket but Can’t Attend?
Sorry, but refunds aren’t available. If we have to cancel (it should never happen), we would send you new dates or a refund. Thank you.
Can I Bring Treats?
Due to potential allergies, we provide treats, toys, and everything the puppies need—just come and enjoy!
Are the Sessions Child-Friendly?
Yes, we run sessions for children aged 5+; all parents must stay during the session to supervise their child. Please make sure when booking that your child will be suitable to listen and play with the puppies without causing any distress & listen to how we teach them to hold the puppies. If they don’t, they will have to leave the pen: we occasionally run sessions for under 5s.
Are You Insured?
Yes, we have full liability insurance to ensure everyone’s safety.
What Should I Wear?
There’s no dress code! We’ll provide a blanket for your lap, but be mindful that puppies love to chew, so dress accordingly. We don’t want any nice clothes being ruined.
Can I Bring My Own Dog?
Please don’t bring your own dogs or puppies—just come and enjoy time with ours. We can’t wait to meet you!
Can I Buy A Puppy ?
The puppies aren’t there to be brought, but if you are really interested, we can get you in touch with the breeder.
How Many People Are There in One Session?
So, depending on the size of the litter, we like to have it for every pup; there are 2 people, but this also depends on the breed of the litter.
Is the Puppies' Mum Going to Be There?
The puppy's mum will be at home with the breeder, having a much-deserved break. Puppies, when they are 8 weeks old, are fully weaned off of mum, so they don’t need her milk anymore; neither pups nor mum will be missing each other for the day.
How Do You Think This Benefits the Puppies?
Puppies love to be cuddled & played with, they are little bundles of joy! Puppies come into this world without a clue how it works. This helps prep them for their life out of their breeder's home. Most puppies don’t leave the home unless for vet trips (not the best of experiences for them, having their injections, etc), they don’t get to have fun outside their home.
For them, this socialises them, makes them confident, and a well-socialised puppy is a well-behaved adult dog. If you come to one of our sessions, you will see how happy & cared for these puppies are.
What Do You Clean With to Keep the Puppies Safe?
Everything is cleaned appropriately with Pavo-Virucidal, including all beds, soft furnishing, flooring & pen. The puppies are our number one priority, so their safety comes first.
Where Do the Puppies Come From?
The puppies are from reputable breeders that we source, and we check the homes & the mother dog to make sure they are well looked after. After the session, we go home to the breeders to find their forever home.
If I Want to Book With My Child, Which Session Do I Book?
This all depends on your children. If your child is 5-13, please book the child session. If 14+, please book the adult session. You are welcome to do the sessions with your child if they have additional needs or not.
Do the Puppies Have Access to Food & Water?
The puppies have water throughout their whole session. They have set times for feeding, so depending on the times the breeders have, we feed them.
Do the Puppies Get Breaks?
The puppies get breaks in between each session.
Are You Wheelchair Accessible?
No, unfortunately, we aren’t wheelchair accessible for the safety of the puppies. We can’t have a wheelchair, walking aids, or anything like this. We are sorry we can’t accommodate disabled people.
Do You Do a Carers Ticket?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer discounts on carers' tickets. We are a small business, only running two to three times a month: you won’t need to purchase a ticket if you don’t need to go into the pen.
How Long in Advance Can I Book a Party?
Parties can be booked at any time with a deposit to secure the date: we need at least a month's notice.
