Our Story — Why We Created Puppy Therapy

We started this business because we truly believe everyone deserves a little bit of puppy therapy in their life — that simple, pure joy, comfort, and love that only puppies can bring.

Even as little girls, this was something we both dreamed of having around. One of us was always hassling her dad to take her to see every litter of puppies he knew about — she spent her whole life wanting to be right there with them, learning, caring, and soaking up that magic. Between the two of us, that lifelong passion was always there — a shared dream we both carried with us as we grew up.

Over the years, that love deepened into real expertise. Between us, we hold a wealth of professional dog qualifications, and combined we’ve spent countless hours working hands-on with puppies — from microchipping and care to behaviour, socialisation, and beyond. We’re incredibly knowledgeable, fully trained, and confident in every aspect of responsible puppy care. We began to think: why not turn this lifelong passion into something bigger, something we could build together? That’s exactly what we did — we teamed up, combined our hearts and our skills, and made it happen.

Together, we built this business to share that love in a safe, controlled environment — one where animal welfare is always our absolute top priority, and the puppies’ needs come first, always. We focus on gentle socialisation, positive experiences, and making sure every puppy is happy, confident, and deeply cared for.

We started right here in Sussex, where Puppy Therapy was born. What began as a shared dream between two friends has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined. After building our business, our community and our reputation in Sussex, we realised that the experience we had created could bring the same happiness to people much further afield.

And so, Puppy Therapy is now growing.

We’re expanding into new locations, taking everything we’ve learned in Sussex with us while keeping the same standards, the same passion and the same commitment to puppy welfare. As we grow beyond Sussex, we’re now becoming Puppy Therapy UK — with the vision of bringing a little bit of puppy therapy to more people across the country.

But our vision goes so much further than the puppies. We wanted to create something that improves mental health for everyone — from adults needing a moment of calm and connection, to children who benefit so much from learning kindness, empathy, and confidence through time with our dogs. We set out to build a business that helps everyone — humans and dogs alike — feel happier, calmer, and more supported.

What started in Sussex is now becoming something we hope can be enjoyed across the UK — while always remembering where it all began.

That’s the heart of what we do — together. 💛
